Research Interests

The Department of Computer Science and Operations Research (DIRO) has a tradition of world-leading research and an internationally renowned graduate program. The DIRO seeks and manages well over $6 million in research funds yearly, allowing it to offer a modern, engaging, exciting and exceptionally productive research environment to its members.

The Department has over 40 professors, 3 of whom hold prestigious Canada Research Chairs, and all of whom are recognized internationally for this excellence in research.

The Department's research teams, consisting of professors, research staff, master's, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and visiting scholars, conduct top-tier research in over 15 specialized areas in computer science and operations research.
